S**t just got real.
Not that it wasn’t real a week ago, or a month ago. But now I have a one-way airline ticket to Queenstown, New Zealand (which, on a side note, costs a fortune), and that makes it very very real. I’m actually moving.
So the countdown has officially begun! There’s no procrastinating anymore – no more distracting myself with anything that doesn’t involve packing, tossing, or selling something in this apartment. I have less than 2 weeks to get everything out, and my current state of affairs includes 2 rolls of bubble wrap, dangerously sticky packing tape, and 3 cardboard boxes being simultaneously packed and unpacked.
My only consolation at the moment is the view. If I’m going to sit on the floor for hours on end, I might as well have this view to keep me company. It won’t be mine for much longer, so I’m soaking it in.
Putting aside the fact that it takes two whole days to get from Miami to Queenstown, I’m beyond excited! I know I have an incredible adventure ahead, and I’m looking forward to every minute. I am grateful for the overwhelming support from everyone – thank you for being supportive! When I can see past the anxiety of getting it all done in time (which does happen, even in the midst of the chaos), I am reveling in the excitement of starting this new chapter. I can’t wait!
Wow… They drive on the wrong side of the road!! Congratulations on the move we will miss you.
Wrong side of the road, upside down … Couldn’t be farther away! But it’s an amazing opportunity, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll miss you guys too!
